Clinical Practice
I have operated my own private practice since 2003.  Prior to that I worked for several years in residential and community services both in Sydney and England.

My primary experience comes from helping people who have been injured in traumatic events.  I have developed a strong reputation for assisting people who have sustained brain and spinal injuries, to adjust to life following these events.

In my private practice I see a range of people experiencing a variety of problems including anxiety, depression, stress and worry.  My practice has a strong focus on men's health and enhancing motivation for change.

Professional collaboration
I work collaboratively with other treating professionals including GP's and medical specialists, case managers, OT's, physiotherapists and more.

Professional recognition
My work has been published in psychological journals and professional newsletters.  I have presented papers at conferences and I run workshops for other professionals in topics such as behaviour change and cognitive therapy.
Treatment method
I am trained in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) which is the most commonly accepted form of psychological therapy.  CBT has proven outcomes for a range of conditions.  My treatments are evidence based and I keep my knowledge current with regular professional development activities.

Out of every session it is important that you leave confident that I have taken the time to listen and understand you.  You might see solutions to your own problems with some guidance. Sometimes you know what to do but need help with motivation.
I will try to give you strategies to use between our sessions so that you can see the benefit in your day-to-day life.

Measurable outcomes
I will work with you on goals that are important to you.  We will use objective measures to determine whether the treatment is working for you.
